𝗔𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗹 handled 𝟭𝟮𝟳,𝟰𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, resulting in a 𝟴% 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗻-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲
The 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆-𝘁𝗼-𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘁 in August reached 𝟰𝟳% / 𝟱𝟯%, with belly cargo gaining 1 percentage point compared to the same month last year.
𝗜𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 volumes were split 𝟱𝟭% / 𝟰𝟵%. 𝗜𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 volumes continued to show growth, in total +𝟮% year-on-year. The 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 recorded slightly higher volumes than the previous month and was only 1% lower than August 2025. The 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝗨 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝘁𝘆 rule came into effect on 𝟭 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆. No exact e-commerce data is available; however, 𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 tonnage in 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 was slightly lower than in July and approximately 15% lower than the average monthly volume in the months preceding the new customs duty rule.
On the 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 side, total growth compared to last year August was +𝟭𝟰%. The 𝗙𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 showed an 𝟭𝟭% 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 (+𝟮𝟱%), 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 (+𝟮𝟴%), 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 (+𝟮𝟱%). Only outbound volumes to 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 were lower than in August 2025 (-6%).
𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 in 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 included 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀.
In addition to air cargo volumes, Schiphol handled 𝟯𝟯,𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗥𝗙𝗦) cargo.
𝗠𝗮𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁 𝗔𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, often referred to as Schiphol’s seventh runway, handled 𝟭,𝟵𝟰𝟲 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 in August, bringing YTD growth to 𝟭𝟲% 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗻-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿.
With 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗹 volumes up 𝟭𝟬% 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝘁𝗼-𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲, August confirms the continued strength and resilience of Schiphol’s cargo ecosystem.
