Royal Schiphol Group heeft op 23 april een gerichte tijdelijke financiële tegemoetkoming aangekondigd voor alle luchtvaartmaatschappijen die op Amsterdam Airport Schiphol opereren.
Schiphol verwijst naar de “uitzonderlijk uitdagende marktomstandigheden” voor airlines: het aanhoudende conflict in het Midden-Oosten, geopolitieke onzekerheid en sterk gestegen brandstofprijzen.
De korting loopt van 27 april 2026 tot en met 31 maart 2027.
Het gaat om een korting van 50% op de de landing- en take-off-kosten (LTO) en de korting geldt uitsluitend voor vluchten tussen 06.00 en 23.00 uur lokale tijd. Schiphol wil hiermee bewust een stiller en schoner vliegveld stimuleren.
In het officiële persbericht op de Schiphol-website wordt gesproken over een korting van ruim 10% op de totale havengelden. Dit komt doordat de 50% korting alleen geldt op een deel van de tarieven (de landing- en take-off-kosten overdag). Wanneer je alle kosten (landing, passagiers, parkeren etc.) bij elkaar optelt, komt het gemiddelde voordeel voor een airline neer op ruim 10%.

Royal Schiphol Group announced on 23 April a targeted temporary financial relief measure for all airlines operating at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
Schiphol refers to the “exceptionally challenging market conditions” facing airlines: the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, geopolitical uncertainty, and sharply increased fuel prices.
The discount runs from 27 April 2026 through 31 March 2027.
It consists of a 50% reduction on landing and take-off (LTO) charges. The discount applies exclusively to flights operating between 06:00 and 23:00 local time. With this measure, Schiphol consciously aims to stimulate a quieter and cleaner airport.
In the official press release on the Schiphol website, the measure is described as delivering a discount of more than 10% on total airport charges. This is because the 50% discount applies only to part of the tariffs (specifically the daytime landing and take-off charges). When all charges are taken into account (landing, passenger, parking, etc.), the average benefit for an airline amounts to just over 10%.
