Schiphol Cargo continues its upward trend with steady growth in October | Schiphol

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol handled 131,543 tonnes of air cargo in October 2025 — a further increase compared to previous months and 1% above the same month last year.

The belly vs. full freighter split shifted to 43% / 57%, a two-point gain for full freighters.

The inbound/outbound split was 54% / 46%. Outbound volumes to the Far East grew by 5% year-on-year, while Europe increased by 16%. Since June, outbound volumes to the US have consistently remained 16–18% lower than in the same months last year, reflecting recent tariff developments. Inbound flows showed strong growth from the Far East (+17%) and Middle/South America (+29%).

Top commodities in October included electrical machinery, flowers, fashion, fish, fruit & vegetables, spare parts and pharmaceuticals.

Year-to-date (January–October), Schiphol Cargo handled 1.17 million tonnes of air freight.
