Schiphol is entering into cooperation with Groningen Airport Eelde (GAE). This partnership initially focuses on route development and the development of commercial real estate at GAE. Schiphol is thus further fulfilling the wish of the outgoing cabinet for better cooperation between the regional airports and Schiphol.
GAE plays an important societal and economic role for the Northern Netherlands and the entire country and wants to further develop this role over the coming years. One way they will be doing that is by contributing towards the development of sustainable aviation, with initiatives in the field of hydrogen implementation. The objective of the cooperation is to stimulate this innovation and strengthen GAE’s societal and economic importance by making Schiphol’s specialist knowledge, experience and expertise available to GAE.
