Global air cargo spot rates ended 2024 at USD 2.87 per kg. Since the start of peak season in September, these spot rates increased by 11% — a notably slower pace than the 21% growth seen in the same period of 2023, when the market first encountered unexpected surges in e-commerce demand.
Besides, the year-end spot rate marked a 15% increase from a year ago, laying a solid foundation as the market approaches the new year’s tender season.
