In the final week of March, disruptions in the Red Sea led to further increases in air cargo spot rates on most routes from Asia and the Middle East to Europe. This surge was mainly driven by Bangladesh and India, where outbound spot rates to Europe rose by 187% and 147% year-on-year, respectively. Among the selected origins, only the Japan and UAE to Europe markets experienced a decline in spot rates compared to the previous year.
