Lelystad Platform B.V. is fully part of Inditex. Inditex is one of the largest fashion distribution groups worldwide. Its stores and online integrated platform has 7,490 stores in 96 markets and distributes its fashion offer online in more than 200 markets. The first Zara store opened its doors to the public in the year 1975 in A Coruña (in the Northwest of Spain), where the Group started its activity and where it has its headquarters. Today stores from the Inditex group can be found in hundreds of cities all over the world, mostly in the most relevant commercial arteries.

Inditex is listed on the stock market since 23 May 2001, after making a Public Offer for Sale of Shares that elicited great interest from investors. The shares are included in the main Spanish and international stock markets. Inditex´s sales in 2018 were of 26.1 billion euro and a net profit of 3.4 billion euro. On 31 January 2019, the Group had 174,386 employees.
