Global air cargo dynamic load factor, a measurement of airline performance based on both volume and weight of cargo flown and available capacity, stood at 61% in October. It was below pre-pandemic average for the fifth consecutive month. October usually marks the first month for year-end cargo peak season. But so far air cargo demand remains weak. October air cargo chargeable weight fell below both last year (-8%) and 2019 (-3%) levels. And global average air freight rate fell 20% below last year’s level, though it remained 94% above the pre-covid level.
