In the week ending on November 13, air freight spot rate from China to Europe stood at USD 6.18 per kg. It remained 5% below the level of the pre-Golden Week cargo rush. Looking at its competitive mode, ocean freight spot rate in the same week fell more sharply, down 53% over the same two-month period. So far air freight market shows more resilience than ocean market. However, as ocean market tends to lead air market, the downward pressure on air freight rate remains.
