It was by the end of February this year, that the shipments from around the world destined for The Netherlands, started to show a negative growth versus 2019. At the bottom of the pit the volumes were around a third of what they were a year ago. Since then the market recovered one step at a time. After two near misses earlier in the year – last week finally showed a positive year-over-year growth again. Admittedly it was a minor +0.5% – but one might agree that any positive news is welcome nowadays.
